Tasting Notes

This 2021 Dolcetto has a red brick hue. Primary aromas of tobacco, black pepper, and toasty oak fill the nose. Secondary aromas of potpourri, cranberry, and anise appear as the wine is consumed. This wine is full bodied with a vibrant acidity and big tannin structure. Although Dolcetto is historically known for being a low-acid wine meant to be drunk early, this Santa Cruz Mountains rendition has plenty of acid and structure to age beautifully.
