Tasting Notes

A blend of three Northern Italian varietals, the 2019 La Vita has Refosco leading the way, followed by Nebbiolo and Dolcetto. Primary scents of cardamom, cinnamon, tobacco, and potpourri fill the nose. As the wine opens secondary scents of cranberry, currant, and red fruits begin to appear.  On the palate the wine has a bright acidity, creamy mid-palate, and a lasting savory finish.  The extended barrel aging of 30 months allows the wine to integrate and soften the overall mouthfeel. Enjoy now, or cellar for up to 5-10 more years if you prefer. Enjoy now through 2033.

Each year a release party is held to unveil the new label design. Part of the proceeds from the sale of LA VITA goes to a non–profit organization in Santa Cruz County. We are pleased to be able to, in a formal way, give back some of the proceeds to the Santa Cruz community, which has been so supportive to BARGETTO WINERY and the Bargetto family through the years. The 2019 La Vita Beneficiary is Community Bridges-Pajaro Relief Fund!
